Right-of-way clearing and tree removal are vitally important to keeping the lights on and electricity flowing for all members. To reduce the continuous cutting or trimming of large trees, Middle Tennessee Electric offers a tree replacement program. If you live in a residential area and you permit us to remove a large-growing tree from under our lines, we will replace it with a low-growing tree such as flowering crabapple, dogwood, saucer magnolia, redbud, or others. Trees are planted between November 1 and April 15 of each year and are guaranteed for one year. Request forms are available through your local right-of-way specialist.
